New Product: Earth Leakage and Load Current Meter

First Stop Safety today launched the Earth Leakage and Load Current Meter (“ELT”). Targeted primarily at anyone involved in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, the ELT provides a continuous measurement of the earth leakage and load currents for any Class I or Class II mains powered equipment under normal operating conditions.

The measurement of Load Current is useful as a higher than normal current draw can indicate a faulty appliance. This measurement is advisable specially after an appliance has been repaired. The rating plate of the appliance should indicate the maximum power consumption, from which the maximum current can be easily calculated.
